Environmental Certs |
STCs and other certificates including environmental carbon savings and reporting assigned to REA unless stated otherwise. |
Assign STCs/credits as per contract. |
Manage STC process and deductions. |
Installation |
Installed by CEC-accredited electricians; complies with all standards. Timing as per quote. |
Provide access; notify of site hazards. |
Install safely; inform of delays. |
Customer Obligations |
Safe access, disclose hazards, maintain WiFi, arrange strata/body corporate approval if required. |

Handover & Operation |
Handover with manuals, demo, support, monitoring, care/maintenance instructions. |
Learn operation and perform routine maintenance. |

Performance |

State all limitations in writing; monitor & address issues. |
Warranties |
Product per manufacturer and 10-year workmanship warranty. Australian Consumer Law rights apply. |
Follow warranty process if issues arise. |
Assist with all warranty claims and responses. |
Variations |
All scope changes/extra costs require written approval. |
Approve/dispute variations before work starts. |
Quote and document variations before work proceeds. |
Cancellations |
Full refund if major change in design/price, major delay (unless beyond REA’s control), approvals denied, or during cooling-off. |
Notify REA if you wish to cancel or exercise rights. |
Process refunds per law & NETCC. |
Exclusions |
Meter upgrades, structural works, external approvals, extra WiFi gear unless quoted. |
Arrange/approve excluded works if required. |
Clarify all exclusions. |
Privacy |
Personal data used for installation, monitoring, and compliance. Not shared except for legal/warranty/regulatory reasons. |
Provide info as required; review privacy policy on request. |
Handle data per Privacy Act; supply privacy policy on request. |
Complaints |
Complaints lodged via support; acknowledged in 2 business days; resolved in 15 business days. May escalate to Ombudsman. |

Liability / Insurance |
REA holds required insurance. Liability limited as permitted by law. |
Maintain own insurance post-install. |
Hold public liability and workers’ comp; limited liability. |
Force Majeure |
Not liable for delays beyond REA control (weather, disasters, supply chain, etc.). |
Accept schedule changes if required. |
Communicate promptly if delays occur. |
Assignment |
Contract and warranties transfer to new owner if property is sold. |
Notify REA of ownership changes. |
Update records for new owner; continue support. |
Governing Law |
Governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. |
